The debut release of The Fiddle Revolt, "Hey Wait" is a double A-sided single with two very different songs. Scrapin' was written on an acoustic guitar and ukulele, it features flowing melodic lines and chord progressions. The song is about time and how it always seems to get away from us. Wake Up is a heavy hitting blues with screaming violin and organ. Breaking free from an unjust, authoritative power (like your boss) is the theme of this one. The members of the band got tired of the same old "one front man, one genre" format and decided to branch out a bit; swapping lead lines, harmonies everywhere, and the occasional instrument/member rotation.
